UNITAR Jeju International Training Center (JITC) organized an offline Youth Workshop on "Shaping Sustainable Future-oriented Energy Landscape for Next-Generation Leaders from Developing Countries" on August 6 ~ 7, 2024 at the Jeju International Training Center. The Workshop, attended by 19 foreign and domestic youth participants (foreign participants are from developing countries), aimed to explore the complexities of transitioning to renewable energy in their home countries and areas. Through expert-led lectures and site visits to Jeju CFI Future Energy Center in particular, the Workshop served as a chance to equip participants with the tools to shape a sustainable energy future. The Workshop addressed the current global energy transition, green ODA, challenges and opportunities within the context of ODA, and financing mechanism for renewable energy production in developing countries lectured by GGGI and GCF. Additionally, through case study presentations, participants obtained knowledge on public-private partnership strategies needed to drive sustainable energy development in their home countries. Lastly, the Workshop explored success stories from Korea's energy sector.

UNITAR 제주국제연수센터는 2024년 8월 6일부터 7일까지 "개도국 차세대 리더를 위한 지속가능한 미래지향적 에너지 환경 구축"을 주제로 대면 청년워크숍을 개최하였다. 19명의 국내외 청년 참가자들(외국 참가자는 개도국 출신)이 참석한 이번 워크숍은 개도국의 지속가능한 에너지 전환 및 보급의 중요성을 인식시키는 것을 목표로 하였다. UNITAR 제주국제연수센터는 글로벌 에너지 전환의 현황, 녹색 ODA를 통한 지속가능한 에너지 발전, 개도국의 도전과제와 시사점, 에너지 금융 메커니즘 및 PPP, 한국의 지속가능한 에너지 전환 모범사례 등을 포함한 전문가 강의 세션과 제주의 에너지 기관 현장방문 등을 통해 개도국의 재생에너지 개발에 기여코자 하였는데, 참가자들은 자국의 재생에너지 현황과 전략을 평가하고 개선하는데 필요한 능력을 강화할 수 있었다.
