UNITAR Jeju International Training Center (JITC) held a capacity building Workshop on Enhancing Victim Identification and Protection in the Asia-Pacific Region on December 12 ~ 15, 2023 in Jeju, Korea. The Workshop invited 25 participants from 13 Asia Pacific countries, aiming to enhance capacity and knowledge of border officials, law enforcement, social services, non-governmental organizations, and other relevant government entities in the field of victim identification and protection related with human trafficking. To that end, prominent speakers’ lectures touched upon topics such as victim-centered approach, understanding complexities, legal obligations and key strategies related to trafficking victim identification. With the aim of active and participatory learning outcomes of the Workshop, programs included effectively planned activities and encouraged engagement through group discussions and exercises in all sessions.

UNITAR 제주국제연수센터는 2023년 12월 12일부터 15일까지 제주에서 '아시아 태평양 지역 인신매매 피해자 식별 및 보호 강화'를 주제로 워크숍을 개최하였다. 워크숍에는 13개국 25명의 아태지역 이주 및 인신매매 대응 업무 담당 정부관계자 및 시민사회 단체의 현장활동가 연수생들이 참가하였다. 해당 연수의 목적은 연수생의 피해자 식별 및 보호에 관한 역량과 지식을 향상시키기 위함이었으며, 이를 위해 해당 분야의 전문가를 연사로 초청하여 피해자 중심 접근 방식, 복잡성 이해, 법적 의무 및 피해자 식별과 관련된 핵심 전략과 같은 주제의 강연을 진행하였다. 워크숍의 효과 증진을 위해 여러 참여활동을 주요 프로그램으로 포함하였으며, 모든 강연 세션에 그룹 토의 및 연습을 포함함으로써 학습한 내용을 바로 적용해 보는 시간을 가졌다.
