UNITAR Jeju International Training Center (JITC) held an expert lecture on the outcomes of the 28th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP 28) and its implications for the Asia-Pacific developing countries on February 23, 2024. This lecture focused on the key results of the COP 28, which took place in Dubai in December 2023, particularly drawing an attention to climate adaptation. The lecture aimed to raise an awareness of the significant impacts of the decisions by the global community such as the COP28 on the everybody’s lives, in particular, those from developing countries. The lecture, led by Ms. Kang Juyeon, Research Specialist from Korea Adaptation Center for Climate Change (KACCC), was attended by 324 participants from 53 countries.

제28차 유엔기후변화협약 당사국총회(COP 28)의 주요 결과와 아태지역 개도국에 대한 함의를 주제로 한 전문가 강연이 2024년 2월 23일 UNITAR 제주국제연수센터 주관으로 개최되었다. 2023년 12월 두바이에서 개최된 제28차 유엔기후변화협약 당사국총회의 주요 내용과 특히 기후변화 적응을 중심으로 한 합의 사항과 개도국에 대한 함의를 중심으로 강의가 이루어졌으며, 이러한 결정이 개도국에 중요한 영향을 미친다는 인식을 제고한다는 차원에서 개최되었다. 강의는 기후변화 전문가인 한국환경연구원 국가기후위기적응센터의 강주연 전문연구원이 하였으며 53개국의 324명이 참석하였다.
